B & S Insurance celebrated a quarter century of business in Palmyra last week. "It doesn't seem like it has been 25 years ," said owner Frank Burch, who expressed appreciation to the community for its support during that time. "I want to thank all of our clients who have been with us through the years," Burch said. B & S Insurance started out as a Farmers Insurance Group agency owned by Burch and Wayne Stepniak, hence the intials in the name. And, even though Burch bought out Stepniak's share of the business three years after it was started, he kept the name and has taken advantage of its marketing capabilities with the slogan, "Taking the Bull Out of Insurance." It became an independent agency in 2002 with a full line of insurance including farm, crop, life, auto, and home insurance. Burch and his staff have more than 50 years combined experience, in the insurance business. He has been joined by Ellen Goodwin (20 years), Darin Goodwin (14 Years), Michael Meyer (8 years), Michele Hopson (4 years) and Katie Sanders, the newest staff member.
